What it looks for.

The tricks real scam texts use, checked one by one. Every reason it gives is something you can see in the message yourself.

Fake company links

"usps-redelivery.info" isn't USPS. Scam Tester knows the real sites of over 200 banks, carriers and stores and spots the lookalikes.

Pressure and threats

Deadlines, late fees, "your account is locked", threats of arrest. Scammers rush you so you don't stop to check.

Odd ways to pay

Gift cards, crypto, wire transfers and payment apps to strangers. Real companies don't ask for these by text.

Where links really go

Shortened links, links that end in .top or .xyz, raw number addresses, and look-alike letters from other alphabets.

Emails, too

Mail has no Share button for a message, but Print → Share does. Scam Tester then checks the address behind every link.
